When meeting in person a prospect, new customer, supplier, or partner, a simple way to quickly get their contact details is still to use a business card.
Scanning business cards using a mobile device to add contacts to our LinkedIn or Outlook networks has been a common business practice for a while and now we are happy to bring it to SAP Business One as well.

Starting with SAP Business One version 10.0 FP 2111, new applications were added to the Web client to quickly scan business cards and create business partner master data records.
This process relies on SAP Document Information Extraction Service which is an innovative artificial intelligence service, integrated with optical character recognition (OCR) as well as machine learning-based algorithms.
Before you start scanning, perform the following steps:
1. Enable DOX service settings in SAP Business One desktop client (Under Administration module):
2. 2. In the SAP Business One Web client click 'Scan Business Card' and determine the type and code of your new business partner:
3. Scan business card information by selecting an existing photo or by taking a picture of the business card using an iOS device.
This is it. Your new business partner has been added to your company database:
